Shakib Al Hasan Eyes Botham and Kapil Dev's Test All-Round Record

Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan is eyeing the all-round Test records of Sir Ian Botham and Kapil Dev.

Shakib is currently the third-highest run-scorer and wicket-taker for Bangladesh in Tests. He has scored 6,838 runs and taken 215 wickets in 63 matches.

Botham, who is regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders of all time, scored 5,200 runs and took 383 wickets in 102 Tests.

Kapil Dev, who is India's greatest all-rounder, scored 5,248 runs and took 434 wickets in 131 Tests.

Shakib is confident that he can break the records of Botham and Kapil Dev.

"I know it will be a tough challenge, but I am confident that I can do it," Shakib said. "I have been working hard on my batting and bowling, and I am in good form at the moment."

Shakib's next Test match will be against India in the World Test Championship final. He will be hoping to make a big impact in the match and help Bangladesh win their first ever Test series against India.
